Week Long Getaways
At Auskiwi, we understand the importance of providing support and opportunities for individuals with disabilities beyond their daily routines. That is why we offer week stays, where participants can experience a change of scenery and engage in a range of activities that promote socialisation, recreation, and community engagement.
Week stays are of longer duration and can involve interstate and overseas destinations. An expression of interest notice is posted at time of development and those wishing to attend notify AusKiwi Adventures via the expression of interest notice.

Travelling / Commuting Skills
Travelling and commuting skills are essential for our participants to gain independence and navigate the community confidently. We prioritise the development of these skills through tailored training programs and practical experiences. During these programs, participants will learn how to use public transportation, read maps and schedules, navigate streets and intersections safely, and advocate for their needs while travelling.
Utilizing Trains, Planes, Boats, As Well as Buses
We recognise the importance of individuals with disabilities being able to access various modes of transportation. Therefore, we provide opportunities for participants to learn and practice utilising trains, planes, boats, as well as buses. Participants will receive hands-on training on how to navigate different types of transportation systems, including understanding ticketing and seating arrangements, locating accessible entrances and exits, and communicating with transportation staff to ensure a smooth and enjoyable travel experience.
